Mani Ratnam's 'Anjali' girl is all grown up now
Remember the cute li'l girl who starred in 'Anjali?' After enticing the audience with her curls and cherubic face, baby Shamili, as she was credited in the national award-winning 1990 Tamil film, acted in several movies as a child actor. However, she then took a sabbatical for her studies as she was in a school that didn't allow kids to model or act. However, immediately after graduation, Shamlee (as she is now identified), acted in a Telugu film titled 'Oy.' After that she again took a break to pursue her Masters and is now going to play the lead in two Tamil films. Given her popularity as the little girl from 'Anjali,' we are sure that Bollywood would soon be on her mind.
